FAQs

Does the Arena Floor ever close to the public?

Sometimes the Colosseum closes access to the more restricted areas with little notice. This usually happens in cases of heavy rainfall or an emergency repair. If this happens, we will visit other areas of the Colosseum, and the tour will continue with the same duration. As the Arena Floor is only a portion of this tour, there are no refunds if Colosseum Management closes it at short notice.

Does my tour still run if it rains

All of our tours run rain or shine. Please ensure to bring appropriate clothing and/or umbrellas. In the summer, it can be very hot, so you might want to bring an umbrella for shade.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring a water bottle, especially in summer when it can be very hot. There are drinking fountains throughout the tour route for refilling bottles.

For entrance to the Colosseum, the management now require Government Issued ID. Please bring a passport or driving licence with your photo, name and date of birth.

Wear comfortable shoes as the ground can be uneven.
